ANAR DANA Seattle is about to begin its 12th season! At our project intro weekend we chose a new repertoire for this year's training project that I'm really excited about. (I'm always excited about our new repertoire!!!) We still have room for more dancers so please consider working with me and telling your friends and students about this opportunity. We are open for all levels of dancers and I have challenges for both the beginner as well as the professional dancer! We have changed the format to reflect other sister ANAR DANA projects in the world. Instead of rushing to complete the program in less than a year, the weekends are spread out over more than a year. This makes it easier for people traveling from further to join us as we often have dancers who come from far away. In the past we had dancers from Canada, Portland, Los Angeles and even Texas. We are glad to host you if you are coming from out of town! If you would love to join us but feel you can't afford it, please contact me to ask about work study opportunities. I would like to make this opportunity accessible to everybody! You can come to weekend one with no obligation and see if ANAR DANA is right for you. Please register to secure your spot ASAP.
I'm very pleased to announce that we will be continuing to partner with Shay Moore in the Studio Deep Roots Dance in Greenwood!!! www.deeprootsdance.com/studiodeeproots
Here is our repertoire for the coming year complete with Youtube links so that you can see what they look like:
In addition to the weekend dates I will offer in-depth cultural evenings Fridays before each project weekend. These evenings are designed to explore the cultures of our project’s dances in more depth, including costumes, films, music and more. The cultural evenings are open to the public and cost $15 for general public and included in the class fees for participants.
