Dandiya Raas Stick Dances of Northern India

Dandiya Raas is a dance from Gujarat and Rajasthan in northern India associated with the festival of Holi and the Lila of Krishna and Radha. Now celebratory dances, they originated as devotional Garba dances performed in honor of the goddess Durga as a moth fight between Durga and the demon-king Mahishasura.
